Ever wanted to own a life-size statue of Batman or Michael Jackson?
Well, for the right kind of cash, it is definitely possible.
If you search the web for the most popular sites selling life-size statues, you would get mixed results that include sculptors and bronze casters that are masters in their craft. A few online websites do sell life-size statues made of marble, stone, and bronze that range from anywhere between $1,000 to over $100,000 - depending on the piece, hard labor of craftsmanship, the material used, and the artist (or team) being commissioned.
Of course, whomever does not check their purchase beforehand is really duping themselves. All I'm saying is that it'd better be a high quality end piece - without any niches, cracks, or artist's mistakes - that could deter one from really paying that much for a statue. (Quality Control)
Then again, who would pass up the chance to own life-sized Avengers in their full gear? In March, Beast Kingdom Toys from Taiwan (Gibbs 2015) offered up the chance for die hard fans to own their very own life-sized Avengers statues for 250,000 yuan (approx. $36,732) each. That is a pretty expensive set of action figures that could add up fast - totaling around $330,588-404,052 - depending on which ones you consider true Avengers.

However, if you're looking to add War Machine to the collection, that may very well cost you $20,144.98, if you buy it from a third party retailer, like Zaavi. Not such a bad investment piece, but a definite contender for those with the Avengers on their wishlist for this Christmas.
If action heroes and comics are not your thing, and you're looking for something more modest, then you should probably check out these life-size statues of religious figures, saints, angels, and replicas of famous art pieces, such as the "Thinker" by Rodin, "David" by Michaelangelo, and "Venus de Milo". They are sculpted with marble or bronze, which are still exquisite and convincingly similar to the original art pieces in museums.

Unlike the Avengers statues, most of these religious life-size statues vary on the price, depending on the material it is made.
The clarity of the white marble statues speak for themselves, although the bronze and fully painted statues are beautiful, as well. Perfect for greeting guests on the front lawn, or a lavishly grown and well-planned English garden in the back yard.
So, are you still thinking about that Michael Jackson life-size statue I was talking about earlier?
To be honest, it doesn't seem legitimate. I mean, it's being offered on ebay for $110,752.90 (+S&H), but just about anyone can take pictures of wax statues right inside the wax museum. Plus, it's best to avoid getting scammed as much as possible.
As for that Batman life-sized statue, I guess it just depends on which version of Batman you favor most. It's pretty decently priced (if you can justify that much for an action figure), upwards of $5,995. But, it's also sold on ebay and used?! How? And WHY?!!
Like I said, it's possible to get a life-sized statue of your choice. The real question is: When? As in: "When will I save enough to even by a real life statue of Batman?"
